Meet The Team: Sonia Lagiglia

How long have you been in real estate and what brought you to the industry? 

A real estate career is filled with endless possibilities which is why I first entered the industry. I worked 15+ in management behind a desk, I wanted a change that was challenging and every day would be different. I see myself not as a salesperson but instead a matchmaker. I introduce my clients to homes until they fall in love.

Where did you grow up? 

I was lucky enough to be born in the beautiful city of Vancouver. Afterwards, my family planted their roots in Port Coquitlam and now I have planted my roots with my husband and 2 children in Burke Mountain, Coquitlam.

What's your favourite local neighbourhood and why? 

Absolutely love Burke Mountain! If I didn't I wouldn't be living here. We have such a great community which is exactly what I wanted for my kids. Love how there are numerous parks, walking/hiking trails all within walking distance.

If you could build your dream home, what are the top 3 things you would include? 

• Top of the line chef's kitchen. An oversized fridge is a must!

• An ensuite washroom that kids are not allowed in! (haha)

• A backyard oasis (fire pit, hot tub, infinity pool)

What's your favourite local shop?  

Coquitlam florist located in Port Coquitlam. They have beautiful flowers and the best staff! I love having fresh flowers in my home as I can't keep plants alive and I'm not expected to keep flowers alive for more than 10 days!

What's your favourite local restaurant? 

Not really a restaurant but a great place for coffee and pie. Gabi and Jules in Port Moody. If you like pie your going to become a pie lover and if your already a pie lover trust me you will never go anywhere else!

A fun fact about yourself? 

I practised MMA for 8 years before having kids.
